A horse with a different story. Having graduated from the Ocala Breeders Sales as a two year-old in training, Mighty Mecke was a solid race horse. He made twenty-one starts winning nine of them -two of which were overnight stakes. He overcame two knee surgerys to race again. Having lightly raced as an older horse, Mecky was retired after a foot fracture earlier in 2008. He was one of the few lucky horses to be retired to stud. Or so thats what his owners were lead to believe. It was later discovered that he had been resold, for reasons unknown, to race in Antiqua. Worried about his future, both his owner and trainer took swift legal action to bring him home. Mighty Mecke is retired but has returned here to Fair Hill.
